Sridevi Bungalow featuring the 'wink' girl Priya Prakash Varrier found itself into the troubled water the day its trailer was released. The trailer featured Priya as a lonely actress named Sridevi who at the end dies in a bathtub. The title of the film and a few similarities in the trailer as compared late actress Sridevi's life raised a lot of questions. While the makers clarified that the name of the actress in their film is just a mere coincidence, many refused to believe their claims. Late actress' Sridevi's husband, Boney Kapoor, slapped a legal notice against the producers as well. While Boney alleged that the makers are trying to cash on in Sridevi's death, daughter Janhvi Kapoor chose not to comment on this matter.
At a recently held award function, when a reporter asked Janhvi to comment on Sridevi Bungalow, the 21-year-old looked startled and was at a loss of words. Janhvi simply decided to walk off. For that matter, her manager had to interrupt and call off the media interaction.
Honestly, we feel as a media person, need to draw a limit when it comes to certain matters. Meanwhile, the makers of Sridevi Bungalow are unfazed. Director Prashant Mambully, in an interview with Republic TV, has defended the film and stated that they are ready to face the legal action.
