After 10 years, Suniel Shetty reunites with Priyadarshan for Marakkar: The Lion Of Arabian Sea- read details

After staying away from the silver screen for nearly four years, Suniel Shetty is set to entertain us as a 16th-century warrior in his film, Marakkar: The Lion Of Arabian Sea. To prep for his character, the actor has been working out hard. The shooting of the film by Priyadarshan commenced last week as reported by Mumbai Mirror. A source informed the tabloid that 10 years after De Dana Dan, Suniel and Priyadarshan have collaborated for their most ambitious project. In the film, the 57-year-old's look is inspired by the Hollywood war film, Troy. It is said that Suneil has a lot of sword fights and hand combats.


Suniel Shetty will be seen alongside Prabhudheva and Mohanlal in Marakkar. The trio will be shooting together at Ramoji Film city for 85-90 days schedule. The source further informed that the VFX will be done by an International studio for a year and a half to bring the authenticity of the war on the screen. Marakkar is reportedly made on a budget of whopping Rs 150 crore and is based on the life of Navy Chief, Mohammad Ali aka Kunajli Marakkar IV.

The film will be completed by April-end but won't release before mid-2020. As per the report, Marakkar: The Lion Of Arabian Sea will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
