At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios teased the arrival of Captain Marvel. Brie Larson wears the superhero suit to represent the Marvel comic book character in Avengers: Endgame. But before she would join the Avengers in April, the Marvel superhero will make her solo debut in March in her standalone movie. While we are eager to learn her backstory, we’re also excited to spot Easter eggs that would connect Captain Marvel to Avengers: Endgame. Although we’ll have to wait for the movie to release, fans are already speculating several possibilities through which Captain Marvel would connect with Avengers: Endgame.
Here’s a look at three of the most popular fan theories:
Doctor Strange would appear in Captain Marvel:
A popular fan theory is doing the rounds suggesting that Doctor Strange travelled not only to the future in Avengers: Infinity War, he also went in the past, back to the 90s to be specific, and warned Nick Fury and Captain Marvel about Thanos. Maybe, Strange told Fury the right time to call Carol Danvers.
Captain Marvel will use the Infinity Gauntlet:
While it is obvious that the Avengers will defeat Thanos (the Spider-Man: Far From Home gave it away anyway), the question remains, how will they do it? Avengers: Infinity War proved that none of the long running Avengers have the capability to defeat the Infinity Gauntlet sporting Thanos. However, it seems like Captain Marvel might eventually do it. She has been deemed as the “the strongest character [the MCU has] ever had” which led to Reddit user mcu_infinitum speculating that Carol Danvers will use the Gauntlet to stop Thanos and reverse his snap.
Captain Marvel will be introduced to Avengers: Endgame thanks to Iron Man:
ScreenRant speculates that Captain Marvel could be introduced in Avengers: Endgame with the help of Iron Man. In the Avengers: Endgame trailer, Tony Stark is seen drifting in the outer space, recording a message for Pepper Potts. The theory suggests that Tony and Carol could be floating in the same space and she would sense his ship floating. Eventually she would find him and together they would make their way to Earth and join the other Avengers.
