'I have an identity of my own,' says Nihar Pandya as he urges people to stop addressing him as Deepika Padukone's ex-boyfriend

Nihar Pandya, who will be seen in Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, was in a relationship with Deepika Padukone years ago. In fact, it's been more than a decade since they broke up, but people still refer Nihar as Deepika's ex-boyfriend. Even recently when the rumours about his marriage with singer Neeti Mohan broke the internet, many media reports referred Nihar as Deepika's ex. The thing which Nihar wishes doesn't happen. In an interview with Masala.com, Nihar reacted to the same references.

He said, "She (Deepika) is happily married and there is no bitterness in my heart. In time all that one remembers are the good things. I wish her all the best in her married life. And I am sure she wishes the same for me. I only wish the headlines announcing my wedding wouldn’t refer to me as ‘Deepika Padukone’s Ex’. I’d like to think I have an identity of my own." Nihar also revealed how when a press note about his acting debut note, people referred to him as Deepika's ex-boyfriend.

For those unaware, Deepika and Nihar were said to be in a live-in relationship for three years. Even after their break-up, the two have remained on good terms. As for Nihar Pandya's wedding with Neeti, the actor, in the same interview, confirmed that he will be tying the knot with the singer on February 15 while the pre-wedding rituals will take place on Feb 14.


Here's wishing Nihar all the very best for his marriage and his debut film, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi which releases on January 25.

Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna dine with friends on 18th wedding anniversary

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna celebrated 18th years of togetherness by a fun-filled dinner with Bobby Deol, his wife Tania Deol. The couple stepped out for dinner on Tuesday in Mumbai with friends. Sunny and Anu Dewan also joined them.

For the dinner party, Akshay chose to wear a black T-shirt and dark pants, while Twinkle wore a white shirt and gold skirt combo. The group was clicked while they were exiting the restaurant.

Akshay and Twinkle successfully completed 18 years of blissful marriage. The couple has been blessed with two children, Aarav and Nitara. At the launch event for her latest book, 'Pyjamas Are Forgiving', Twinkle spoke about the two things her husband has told her never to try. “...My husband (Akshay Kumar) has told me two things, to never go back to acting and not to ever do stand-up comedy, because I’m terrible at both,” she said. The columnist has acknowledged her lack of acting talent in the past. “I have not given any hit film. Whatever films I have done should be banned and (no one should watch) it. Most of the time, I pretend I have Alzheimer’s and I don’t remember my film career and it makes me happy that ways,” Twinkle told PTI.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in ‘Kesari’ co-starring Parineeti Chopra.

Woman withdraws sexual harassment case against Bhushan Kumar

Woman, who filed sexual harassment case against producer Bhushan Kumar, has withdrawn her case hours after filing the complaint at Oshiwara Police Station. In her justification, she has said that she has made the false allegation out of frustration and depression.

“I had no such intention to malign his reputation and shall not make any false statement and allegation against him in future,” her letter read. 

In her complaint, the unidentified woman said Bhushan Kumar sexually abused her in the pretext of lending her work in his company, a senior police official said. Bhushan Kumar and his uncle Kishan Kumar filed extortion complaint against her at the Amboli police station in suburban Mumbai on January 14. Bhushan Kumar said that the charges are bogus.

Krishan Kumar had filed a complaint against the woman at Amboli police station and said that for quite sometime the woman was threatening him to extort money from him. The woman had threatened him that if he did not give her the money then she will file a false complaint of sexual assault against him and also name his nephew Bhushan Kumar into it.
