Happiest happy birthday to my BFF, Suzanne wishes ex-hubby Hrithik Roshan

The Greek God of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan turned a year older and on his special day, the actor’s ex-wife Suzanne Khan wished him in a very adorable way.

Sharing series of picture, Suzanne wrote# "Happiest happy birthday to my BFF from and through this world...and onto other realms..the force will always be with you. #shineonunlimited #thisman #bestBBF #10january2018 #bestdadintheworld #soulmate," she wrote along with the pictures.

In December, 2013, Hrithik Roshan announced separation from wife Suzanne and their divorce came one year later. Announcing his divorce, Hrithik said, "Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship."

In an interview with Femina, Suzanne earlier said, "We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it's better we weren't together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship. We are close (friends)."

"We do chat a lot even though we don't hang out together anymore," she said in the interview with Femina.

Though separated, Hrithik and Suzanne have maintained a cordial relationship. They made sure that their separation did not affect their children and they gets the best upbringing.

Riddhima’s special AR diamond ring for lovebirds Alia, Ranbir

Alia Bhatt rang in New Year with the Kapoor family in New York. Pictures from their New Year celebration were shared on social media. It showed the ‘Raazi’ actor bonded well with the Kapoor family over dinner. Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni with her husband Bharat Sahni along with their daughter Samaira were seen in the picture.

Ranbir’s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who is a jewellery designer gifted Alia and Ranbir, a gold-plated ring which has AR written on it in diamonds. It is a New Year gift for the couple from Riddhima.

This is not the first time she has gifted anything special to Alia. In the past also Riddhima has gifted a beautiful bracelet to the ‘Raazi’ actress.

Ranbir accepted his relationship with Alia in an interview with GQ magazine. “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit.”

The actor also said that he is enjoying the phase when he is ‘newly in love’. “It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again – you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple years back.”

Not only Neetu Kapoor but Rishi Kapoor is also in favour of Alia-Ranbir’s relationship. The veteran actor took to Twitter to share that he has worked with many people in the popular Bhatt family including Mahesh Bhatt, Emraan Hashmi, Soni Razdan and Alia.

Surgery is done and all is fine, Rakesh Roshan

Actor turned filmmaker Rakesh Roshan was diagnosed with throat cancer and he has undergone surgery which went off well.

After surgery, Rakesh Roshan affirmed that he is feeling well. While talking to Mid-day, the filmmaker said, “All is okay. I am fine. Surgery is done and all is fine. God is great. I am going to be back home on Friday or Saturday.”

According to the leading tabloid, a source close to Rakesh Roshan says, “Ever since the diagnosis, Rakeshji has been upbeat, cheerful and not at all daunted by the setback. He went into the surgery with his wife, brother (Rajesh Roshan), son Hrithik and daughter Sunaina by his side, and the surgery went smoothly. He is expected home by the end of this week.”

Rakesh Roshan’s brother Rajesh Roshan had told the daily, “He is better now and recovering well. We were all very tense about the surgery and the entire family was in the hospital with him. God willing, he will be up in the next three days and should be discharged from the hospital.”

Rajesh also thanked PM Narendra Modi for his message. He said, “This was very big hearted of the Prime Minister and a huge encouragement for both the patient and his family.”

Hrithik Roshan Instagrammed a gym photo with his dad and shared the news. In his post, he said that his dad would not "miss gym even on surgery day" and that he was in "full spirits." Hrithik wrote, "Asked my dad for a picture this morning... Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him."

Hours after Hrithik Roshan tweeted about his father’s surgery, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Rakesh Roshan a very good health and called him a fighter.

"Dear Hrithik, praying for the good health of Shri Rakesh Roshan Ji. He is a fighter and I am sure he will face this challenge with utmost courage," PM Modi tweeted.

Replying to PM Modi's tweet, Hrithik Roshan wrote: "Thank you Sir for your concern and good wishes. I am very happy to inform that according to the doctors his surgery has gone off well."

Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan to star in Mani Ratnam’s next

If everything goes well then soon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will team up with Amitabh Bachchan after 11 years for Mani Ratnam’s next, which is tentatively a periodic drama.

Talking about her forthcoming project, Aishwarya said, “There is a discussion about a film, but we have to really pick up our conversation from where we left it. Mani is one of my favourite filmmakers.”

A source adds Ash has given green signal to the mammoth project.  “It’s a big-budget historical drama, which is being planned on the lines of the Baahubali franchise. It’s likely to be a bilingual project and star several other big names from the South Indian film industry. Mani approached his muse Aishwarya for the female lead and she signed on the dotted line.”

The film will be in the line of ‘Baahubali’ franchise. It will be made on a large scale and will be released in multi-language.

Speaking about the project, the film is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s popular historical novel Ponniyin Selvan (The Son of Ponni). The source told DNA: "There will be an ensemble cast. The actors have already been asked to give bulk dates and commit a few years to this film, as it will be made in several parts”.

The five-volume book narrates the story of Arulmozhivarman, who was crowned as Rajaraja Chola I during the 10th and 11th century. A big announcement is expected to be made around Pongal (January 14).

The director is planning to rope in Amitabh Bachchan.  The source tells us, “Mani has narrated the script to Amitji. He is taking his time to decide whether he would like to do it. A confirmation from his end is yet to come but he has liked the idea.”

If Big B gives his nod then 11 years after ‘Sarkar raj’, audience will get to see Ash and Big B together ons-screen.

Rakesh Roshan’s throat surgery has gone off well and he is recovering well. His health details were updated by son Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan’s brother Rajesh Roshan.

Rajesh has told, “He is better now and recovering well. We were all very tense about the surgery and the entire family was in the hospital with him. God willing, he will be up in the next three days and should be discharged from the hospital.”

Perfectionist Aamir Khan was spotted on a lunch date with daughter Ira. The father-daughter duo was clicked at a restaurant in Mumbai. Aamir Khan's list of New Year's resolution was to "spend more time with children" and he is living up to it.

Aamir Khan was dressed casually in a grey tee and trousers while Ira donned white denim hot pants with a striped crop-top. She is accessorized with hanging earrings.

On the work front, Aamir Khan's last film 'Thugs of Hindostan' was a total disaster. He is yet to announce his next film.

First Look out: Vivek Oberoi nails it as Narendra Modi in the biopic

As promised, the first look of Vivek Oberoi as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is out and it is quite captivating. With grey beard and saffron kurta and specs, Vivek as PM Modi stood in front of the tricolour.

Sharing the poster, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Vivek Anand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi... The first look poster was launched in 23 languages by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis... Directed by Omung Kumar... Produced by Suresh Oberoi and Sandip Ssingh.

Excited to play PM Modi on-screen, Vivek, at the poster launch event, said, “I am extremely fortunate. Today, I am feeling what I felt 16 years ago, during Company days. I am feeling the same kind of excitement and hunger because this is the role of a lifetime for any actor. I pray that at the end of the journey, I become a better actor and a better human being. Narendra Bhai is one of the tallest leaders in the world and to bring his personality and qualities on screen is an incredible challenge. I want all your blessings to complete this incredible journey.”

Director Omung Kumar added that this will be the most challenging project in his career. “To make a film about one of the most prolific leaders in the history of India is challenging,” he said at the event.

Producer Suresh Oberoi also couldn’t contain his happiness on his son Vivek playing the titular role. He said, “It’s the good fortune of Vivek Anand Oberoi that he is playing the role of a karm-yogi, a great leader, who has been accepted by not just India but the whole world. Vivek is very hardworking and I am sure all of them will make an evergreen film.”

Co-producer Sandip Ssingh reiterated and said, “We were very scared to conceive this film. Once we did that, I went to Vivek Oberoi, whom I have known for 18 years. I told him there is a thought which is impossible but if we do it together, it is possible. And he replied, ‘Yes, I am doing. We will meet in the evening.’ Since then, we, along with our writers, have worked every evening to make it possible.”

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis further added, “I believe the film will be inspirational. We always say Modi’s life has been inspirational. He is like a raj-yogi and this film will get that in front of the audience. I give my best wishes to you all. I feel I am fortunate that you have chosen me to do this.”

The poster of the film will reportedly be released in 23 different languages and will be unveiled by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.  The film will be helmed by director Omung Kumar. Sandip Ssingh will co-produced the film with Suresh Oberoi.
